Sunday

The journey to England started at 18 o'clock. We stowed our luggage and said goodbye to our parents. Than the bus driver introduced himself and we start travel. It was a very long trip. We drove all over Germany. Some cities we passed were, for example, Erfurt, Sangerhausen and Dortmund. Near Dortmund we change the bus driver. Between the trip we had a lot of fun.

We talked together and watch a really funny film. Of course we slept for some hours. But the most from us were really nervous for the next week in another country.

Monday

On Monday we were on a castle called ,,Dover Castle". There we have looked at everything and went into the castle. From our teachers we got a task list that we had to solve.

We also learned many interestings things about the Castle.

The weather was cold, stormy and wet. Later we visited Hastings and met our host families.

Tuesday

On Tuesday morning we woke up and ate breakfast with our host families. Then we went to the bus stop. Some minutes later the bus came and we rode to London. After 90 minutes we arrived London, too. Firstly we did a sightseeing tour. We saw so many famous sights and learn interesting information about the city. Between the sightseeing tour we take a lot of photos. At the London Eye we left the bus and went to the London Dungeon. Inside it was very scary but a bit funny, too.

The actors told many facts about the terrible history. After the London Dungeon we walked along the River Themse. On the way we saw the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge and the Millennium Bridge. We cross the river and went to the Tower of London. There we could visit in little groups the museums inside. The highlight was that we saw the crown jewels. They were so beautiful. Than we had some minutes to went shopping or to ate dinner.

In the evening the coach picked us up. After a long day we went back to our host families in Hastings. All in all I would say it was a stressful but wonderful day in London.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we went to Greenwich and from there we walked to a ship. With this ship we went to the London Eye. After the boat trip we went to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

Before we went to the musical "Mamma Mia" we were in Covent Garden. After the musical, we went home.

Thursday

On Wednesday night we arrived the host family very late and that's why we could slept on this morning a bit longer. Like the other days we ate breakfast and went with our bag to the bus stop. On this day we visit Brighton. On the way we stopped on a great hill. From there we have a wonderful view about the ocean, the coast and the cliffs.

Next to the cliffs we could see a lighthouse. Near from this hill we went to the coast and pick up some stones and muscles. Than we arrived Brighton. There we could, like the other days before, in little groups walked through the city. There we saw the oldest Sealive, walk away the pier and had time to go shopping. In the afternoon we all visit the Royal Pavilion, where we learn a lot about the history of this building. When we left the Royal Pavilion we could go shopping again. After one hour the coach came and we went the way back to Hastings. On that evening we arrived the host family earlier. So we could eat dinner together with the host family.

On that evening we talk a lot with them and so we improved our English. But in this night we must pack our luggage for the next day.

Friday

On Friday brought us our host families to the bus and we said goodbye. Then we visited the smugglers cave and later we saw the cathedral in Canterbury.

Then we went back to Calais and then to Germany.

Saturday

After we went by ferry over the channel we watched a film. But the most of the students were really sleepy. In the night we had some toilet stops, for example, in Belgium or in Dortmund. In every break we woke up so that we could count the hours if we were back at school. At 10 o'clock we arrived school and our parents were waiting for us. And I'm sure that we all were really happy to see our family.

In my opinion it was a wonderful journey to England witch I will never forget.
